Polyester polyols can be dissolved using solvents such as dichloromethane, dimethylformamide (DMF), 1,1-dichloro-1-fluoroethane, industrial alcohol, chlorinated paraffin, and ethyl acetate.

Dichloromethane:

A commonly used organic solvent with excellent dissolving properties; it is effectively miscible with polyester polyols.

Dimethylformamide (DMF):

A polar solvent that effectively dissolves polyester polyols; it is frequently selected as a solvent in chemical synthesis.

1,1-Dichloro-1-fluoroethane:

A halogenated hydrocarbon solvent offering good solubility and stability; it is suitable for dissolving polyester polyols.

Industrial alcohol:

Composed primarily of ethanol, it has some ability to dissolve polyester polyols, though its effectiveness may be inferior to that of other specialized solvents.

Chlorinated paraffin:

A mixture of chlorinated hydrocarbons with good solubility and lubricating properties; it can be used for the dissolution and processing of polyester polyols.

Ethyl acetate:

An ester solvent characterized by low toxicity and good volatility; it is suitable for processes such as the dissolution and coating of polyester polyols.
